FAQs
What is the dress code for your wedding?
The dress code for our special day is formal. We encourage women to wear long dresses and men to wear suits—tuxedos are welcome but not required. To honor our all-black theme, we request that guests wear solid black attire, including dresses and suits. We kindly discourage patterns or other colors; as we’re aiming for a classic and cohesive look with all-black ensembles.
Are children welcome?
To allow all our guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we’ve chosen to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives everyone the chance to have a fun and stress-free evening with us! All invited guests will be listed on your invitation.
Will there be an open bar?
Justin and Ayla will be providing a beer, two wines, a canned beverage, and two signature cocktails, on us, for the duration of the evening. While we are covering your drinks for the evening and want you to indulge, please ensure to tip your bartenders!
Will the events take place indoors and outdoors?
All events including the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will take place outdoors. In the case of rain, all events will still remain outdoors, but our reception space, which will take place under a tent, will have walls added to it.
Are we granted plus ones?
We’re keeping our wedding intimate and have limited the guest list to close family and friends. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate additional guests or plus ones. We hope you understand, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
What is the venue like?
Our wedding will take place at the elegant Historic Rousby Hall in Lusby, MD, set on a stunning 16-acre waterfront property. As the venue features grassy areas, we kindly recommend considering this when selecting your attire and footwear. To learn more about our venue, click the button below.
What food will be served?
For dinner, we will be serving freshly made woodfire pizzas! Cocktail hour bites will be provided, but are undecided as of now!
Is parking or transportation available?
As noted on our 'Travel' page, ample parking is available for all guests at our venue. While we will not be providing transportation, we encourage you to plan ahead if you wish to enjoy the offerings at our bar.
Phones?
While we request your phones stay away for our unplugged ceremony, we encourage you to take as many pictures and videos during cocktail hour and the reception!
RSVP and Soft RSVP?
Following our Save the Dates, formal wedding invitations with an official RSVP will be sent out. If you already know whether you will or will not be able to join us, we’d love to hear from you with a “soft RSVP”. You can email or text Ayla at (410) 463-4447 or aylagbasar5@gmail.com. Please note that an official RSVP will still be required once invitations are sent.

All of our recommended accommodations can be found under our ‘Travel’ page.
Is there someone I can contact if I have any other questions about the wedding?
All questions can be texted to Ayla at (410) 463-4447.
