Justin and Ayla met their freshman year of high school. Through high school they were good friends, supporting each other and loving each other through the highs and lows of being teenagers.
In June 2021, Justin and Ayla decided to give being more than friends a shot, catapulting them into a love filled relationship for the next 3 years.

Justin and Ayla have found a special home in Washington, DC, where they’ve shared countless adventures. On August 31, 2024, Justin proposed in front of the Lincoln Memorial—the very spot where, eight months earlier, during a spontaneous midnight exploration, Justin decided it would be the perfect place to ask Ayla to be his wife.
